The Next Designs In Digital Design Star Week 3 Kits & Scrap Factor Announcement

We have tons of exciting things going on right now at Designs In Digital. We have release some of the details regarding Scrap Factor the event that we have been hinting about for a while now.
Want to learn about Scrap Factor - Well here are some of the details --

Scrap Factor is a layout competition that will last for 8 week and 16 challenges. Eight challenges will be required and 8 will be bonus challenges to earn extra points. The first challenge will be posted on Monday, August 4th.

Competitors will be competing for prizes and creative team postitions.If you wish to participate you MUST PURCHASE the SCRAP FACTOR MYSTERY Tote that will be available from the store on July 30, 2008. The competition pack will consist of huge variety of mini kits all new and totally exclusive to the Designs in Digital’s SCRAP FACTOR COMPETITION. Designs in Digital’s Scrap Factor Mystery Pack - The ultimate value to let your creativity run wild!.
– The Mastery pack contains never before released mini kits from 14 designers. Each mini kit contains 5 papers and 10 exclusive elements. Each mini kit will be used for a different challenge in the Scrap Factor Competition.
This Mystery Pack would normally retail at approximately $40.00 US but for SCRAP FACTOR you can purchase it for a limited time price at the special Scrap Factor price:
~Pre-order & Sign up between July 28th & July 29 for only $3.00
~Sign Up and purchase between July 30th to August 1st at the Sale Price $3.50
~Sign Up and purchase between August 2 to 10th - Sale Price - $5.00
After this point the Mystery Pack will then be sold as separate mini kits.

You must SIGN UP to be a part of SCRAP FACTOR. You must also be registered as a member of our forum and gallery.
This competition will run for a total of 8 weeks starting MONDAY AUGUST 4 2008.

April Layout and a New Freebie - Allison

Sorry I have been neglecting my blog. I have been very busy creating pages for Ladybug Graphix at Digital Scrap Garden, Triplett Designs at KJoi Studios and Amanda Dykan of Purple Paper Flower in addition to my duties as a Studio Diva at KJoi Studios.

Here’s just a few of my favorite layouts that I have created in April.

All the pages have been created with kits from the wonderful designers that I create for.

Now for a special treat – I was going to save this for something coming in May, but I couldn’t wait to get it out there. It’s a new little kit – Allison. It is named after my step-daughter. Chris went and took photos of her track practice and I just had to create something special to go with the photos.

Spring Sunrise - First Mini Kit - Freebie

My wonderful children surprised me with a Bamboo Fun for my birthday so I was inspired to attempt and create my first kit. Also, K-Joi Studios is featuring a very fun challenge this month - a color challenge. The premise is the moderator chooses a color pallet and you may either scrap a page with her mini kit or create a mini kit of your own. I choose to create a mini kit.

Busy Week

Just have to let you know that I have had a very busy scrapping week. Which is good, it releaves all my stress as the UAW's strike against American Axle goes into its sixth week. This is very difficult with Chris being out of work. I'll leave it at that as I could go on and on about this situation.

Here's the exciting stuff. I've been scrapping my little heart out as I am now a member of FOUR CREATIVE TEAMS. I have been selected to join the following teams:

Tabitha's Triplett Designs
Amanda Dykan of Purple Paper Flowers
Ladybug Graphix of Digital Scrap Garden

Just a quick note to share my exciting news - I have been selected to be a Studio Diva and Team Member at Kjoistudios.com. I am SO EXCITED!!! I can't wait to get scrapping or to find out which of the wonderful and talented designer I'll be creating pages for. Be sure to check back with me to see what I come up with.

My First Set of Layout Templates

I love working with layout templates. I find them to be a good source of inspiration at times. I’ve decided to get creative and develop a few layout templates of my own in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Here is the first 3 templates I devolved. The last one in the set I developed has a number of different options depending on the layer you turn on and off.
